Description
"No one knows what the vehicle known as the 'Gnasher' started life as, or if it even was a vehicle before the world went dark. It's more likely it was a stroke of rare genius displayed by some wasteland inventor with remnants of old world technology. Regardless, the Gnasher has become a disturbing sight to those who come up against it on the plains. Massive, loud and crude, the Gnasher features a hydraulic jaw that the operator can operate to raise the sharpened metal 'teeth' up and then bring them crashing down on its prey. More automated jaw then vehicle, this war machine is the scourge of nearly everything it comes across. Alongside its spiked wheels, the Gnasher is a formidable tool of destruction in the post-apocalyptic world."I wanted to keep going with my 'Mad Max'/Post-apocalypse vehicles and I saw the perfect chance with this old Street Sharks vehicle that had been damaged.
Stepping into a slightly new zone, this car is sized for 6 inch scale figures instead of the previous 3.75 cars.
Fairly simple to work with, she was cleaned with soap, then given a new paint job. Browns, reds and metal colors were used to make it look old, worn and dirty. Highlights of different metal colors were used on the actual 'metal looking' parts and a wash of black was used to make it look dirty.
I put on additional random pieces, like the gas tank and flag to give it a personalized look. I also added that metal grate looking piece on the hood-in my head I can see some bandit jumping up there to throw a spear or use as a platform to jump to another car.
Like I said, the vehicle does have this kind of spring functioning jaw that lets you raise the teeth up and then drop them down, which I thought was pretty cool. Originally there was a lower jaw, but that had broken off-personally I think it looks better without it.
Finally, everything got hit with sealant to help it last

Spikes on spikes, you can't get more intense that that...
You can't have an appropriate level of suffering if there isn't enough blood!

Thanks!
After having the base car sitting around since I was a kid (and then having part of it break off), I was glad I could breathe some new life into it.
