As Britney said, "..IT'S BEEN A WHILE."Summer's almost here and we've been having on and off UH-mazing sun and blustery rain storms. I swear this city is going tropical. Either way, the sea is on every breeze I catch and I can't get enough of it.

posted by -Over in the layers menu in Photoshop, double click Background and it should pop up with a rename the layer window. Renaming it to the default Layer 0 will make it a regular layer allowing you to change the properties to multiply and save it and use it as a lineart layer in Painter.
Even just making a duplicate of the 'background' layer and setting it to multiply, saving as a photoshop file, and opening it in corel painter(because it can use photoshop files!) works, it's just the lineart! Now, the picture was a grey sketch on a white background so I don't know how it would work with a color background..I don't think it would.
And OWMAGAWD I love the sound of Christina's new CD! There are a lot of songs I don't like the lyrics to but the beats she used are incrediblwe! Apparently Ladytron produced 2 of the tracks and both Peaches and Nicki Minaj are featured so I'm sure they had a hand in the sounds as well (and they both have great sounds themselves). I really love 'Bionic', 'Whoo Hoo', 'You Lost Me' and of course 'Not Myself Tonight'.

Ginny that really means so much to me! 
I've told myself i can't be the same perfectionist I was trying to be. I would zoom in on drawings in photoshop to like 200 or 300% trying to get lines just right and it would take me 3 hours to get a face and I would be so far beyond uninterested in it at that point that I'd save what I had and never touch it again lol. I mean...I don't get much further these days, but it it further. I just tell myself I can fix things later, and try my best to get the basics down (which is the first rule in every drawing class/book/instructions EVER).

I love the freedom you have when drawing mermaids as it's always a snapshot of a moment in constant motion. I haven't posted any in a long time tho as it gets hard trying to come up with something fun and fresh! Should the fins go here, should the tail be longer..shorter....luckily with Ariel I can get straight to the fun part of posing
