Description Yeah, yeah... I know I said I wouldn't be updating for a while here. But I bought the 10th Anniversary Optimus Primal here and I got to say I love this guy! I mean, at first I was kinda annoyed with the whole surfboard missle launcher thingie... But then I started having visions of that guy witht eh Chello Case missle launcher from Desperado and ideas of Primal swinging around his board/blade like Grave from Gungrave... And sundenly this is one of the coolest Primal toys ever made.

Amazing what a little imagination can do for you.

I had this idea of Primal in dramatic lighting. (ala the Batman) So I sketched him out here. (Yes, I DO ink all my sketches. Keeps my inking skills up to par I think.) I did throw on the ziptone backdrop though just to pop him out a bit.

Link don't work like you wanted, but I did see the designs and I'm rather looking forward to it. I'm really rather excited about the movie.

And I don't care that Megateron doesn't have a fusion cannon.

This one's really cool. Glad that you do ink all your images, because I don't know anybody who takes the skill beyond basic tracing. This one conveys a strong sense of lighting, volume, and motion as well with just the black and white alone. Excellently done.

Well I'm one of those people who strongly believes in the power of a good inker. I mean, a lot of artists these days actually clean line their pencils and just darken the lines with softer pencil leads... It's something I respect and in a way wish I could do, but for some reason, I just cannot. I just enjoy using ink that much. I've first hand seen the effects of how much a good inker can improve an already good picture. (And I've also seen the opposite affect too!) Needless to say, I've gotten to the point that if I ever hear someone

(Dammit... Stupid keyboard. Cut my post off midsentence.) Anyways...!

Needless to say, I've gotten to the point that if I ever hear someone use that Kevin Smith "tracer line" to my face again, I'm going to shove my crow quill up into their septum. Especially if it's my own artwork. The joke wasn't funny ten years ago, and it ain't gotten any funnier today.
