I have always loved the 1986 Minibot Autobots. And I've been meaning to draw them for a while, and being Botcon weekend, I figured now's as good a time as any.

Wheelie was in MTMTE? I assume he didn't exist there because he was a child ( with the expection of the IDW continuity) and I don't think that kid bots exist in MTMTE world.

This was kinda itβs own little thing. Not in any continuity. At the time when I see this, Wheelie was running around with Orion Pax, Hardhead and Garnax. Outback was dead and we hadnβt seen Hubcap yet.
In the IDW universe there are kid robots. Technically Tailgate is one, and the Generation 2 bots that popped up in the wake of the Unicron story.

In the IDW Universe, when a robot is forged (the natural way of birth), from the first flash to final formation, it takes roughly two weeks. And Tailgate was only two weeks old when he got lost years ago. So by Transformers terms, he's mentally a teenager.Β

Not officially. In the old cartoon, Outback there was given a really cheesy Australian accent. (As was par for the course in the 80s.) So, I figured it'd be fun to have him do what Guzzle the Sparkabot did and name his gun.

I'm totally loving it. Still feel bad that we couldn't get to know Pipes some more, but MTMTE in general is an amazing comic.

Yeah, Pipes' final scene was painful to read. MTMTE has surpassed Beast Wars as my favorite Transformers writing, and that's saying a lot.

I was looking over the Legend Class Bumblebee and I think I can make one out of that with little-to-no problems. but yeah, I'd prefer it if he got a new official toy. (He IS like my favorite TF.)
