ENGLISH - Psalm 91 (NIV)
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
    will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a ]
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
    my God, in whom I trust.”

3 Surely he will save you
    from the fowler’s snare
    and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
    and under his wings you will find refuge;
    his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
    nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
    nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
    ten thousand at your right hand,
    but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
    and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
    and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
    no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
    to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
    so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
    you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 “Because he[b ] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
    I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
    I will be with him in trouble,
    I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
    and show him my salvation.”

Celui qui s'abrite tout près du Très-Haut
repose en lieu sûr, à l'ombre du Tout-Puissant.

2 Je dis[a ]: «Eternel, tu es mon refuge et ma forteresse,
oui, tu es mon Dieu en qui j'ai confiance.»

3 Car c'est lui qui te délivre du filet de l'oiseleur,
de la peste et du fléau.

4 Il t'abrite de son aile
et, caché sous son plumage, tu trouves un refuge sûr.
Sa fidélité est un bouclier, elle est une armure.

5 Tu n'as plus à craindre, ni terreurs la nuit,
ni flèches qui volent durant la journée,

6 ni peste rôdant dans l'obscurité,
ni insolation qui frappe à midi.

7 Qu'un millier tombe à ta gauche
et dix milliers à ta droite,
tu ne seras pas atteint.

8 Ouvre seulement les yeux,
et tu pourras contempler le châtiment des *méchants.

9 L'Eternel est mon refuge.
Si tu as fait du Très-Haut ton abri,

10 aucun mal ne t'atteindra,
nul malheur n'approchera de la tente où tu demeures,

11 car il chargera ses *anges
de veiller sur tes chemins[b ],

12 de te porter sur leurs mains,
de peur que ton pied ne heurte une pierre.

13 Tu pourras marcher sans crainte sur le lion et la vipère
et tu fouleras aux pieds le lionceau et le serpent[c ].

14 «Parce qu'il m'est attaché à moi, le Seigneur, je vais le sauver
et le protéger car il me connaît.

15 Il m'invoquera, je lui répondrai,
oui, je serai avec lui au moment de la détresse,
et je le délivrerai, je le couvrirai de gloire.

16 Je le comblerai de jours
et je lui ferai connaître mon salut.»
