Description
A few sketches of my sci-fi story character ideas.About the ninjas:
They have Hemispherical high-powered optical sensors, that magnify the light in a scene many times over, built into their masks. Their swords are a type of plasma sword, igniting a type of low-temperature (relatively low temperature, for a plasma) plasma to form the blade. This type of sword is lighter, faster, quieter, less bright, more powerful, and vastly more expensive, and exceedingly more rare than their crystal-bladed counterparts.
The ninjas are also equipped with completely active camouflage cloaks, that mimic the background in a pixelated pattern. (to be drawn as hexagonal the next time I draw it)
The airship:
The airship is a type of flying craft known as a Turtle Ship (a nod to the ancient Korean warships of the same name), mostly because of its shape and the four massive EV Crystal fins that propel it through the air. The Energy Vectoring Crystals direct their provided energy downward, in order to keep the craft afloat.
It is mounted with diagonal masts emitting from the top deck, with their sails rolled up in them. (I may or may not keep the sails on them)
It is mounted with an Electromagnetic Cannon protruding from its bow.
The explosion thingy:
It's the impact of a projectile from an Electromagnetic Cannon. Electromagnetic Cannons launch their projectiles with large electromagnets aligned along the length of the barrel (this little tidbit is actually factual).
The EM Cannons in my story though also have variations whose projectile launches are assisted by an explosive charge, or are boosted with a laser in-flight, or are actually rockets, or (get ready for it) are launched via explosive charge initially, accelerated down the barrel of the cannon with electromagnets, and boosted mid-flight with a laser that also ignites the solid rocket fueled projectile.
