Description
Here is a lightly modified version of the final product from a series of experiments with a camouflage modified from one of ~Tounushi 's patterns. You can see it displayed on a form here: [link]As an interesting case of convergent evolution of design, check out the DG3 (DG III) camouflage pattern.

Well thank you!
This was modified from one of Tounushi 's patterns, so I'd suggest checking his work out if you haven't already.

Thank you!
The DGIII is a transitional pattern, like MultiCam, and since this and DGIII share an astounding similarity, the resemblance is reasonable.

No problemas! What does transistional pattern mean?

"Transitional" is the new term coined in the Army's Camouflage Improvement effort. It is used to describe a coloration of camouflage that fits between woodland and desert, like MultiCam. It likely contains lots of medium browns and the applicable environments are often semi-arid, "Mediterranean"/mountainous, or winter deciduous.
Perhaps a Camo-Club blog entry would be a good idea for the subject, including the ongoing Army program?

That'll be difficult, Multicam works but it doesn't prove its best in the greenest of jungle :S
That would be good the program sounds interesting!

Well, that is the point behind still having the woodland and desert patterns, to cover the extremes that the transitional pattern can't.
And then there's snow patterns too, but it seems that the Army has too much in its skillet at the moment to deal with such matters.

That's a point I'm still waiting for chameleon camouflage to appear, camo that forms to suit the environment.

Apparently, Hyperstleath has created a primitive form of "chameleon camouflage" called SMARTCAMO.

Wow, a helicopter in camo, that's a new one looks pretty good though, it's supposed to blur it when in the sky yes?
