Finally got it Colored!If you like MouseGuard by David Petersen, you'll be interested to know there is now an RPG book. This is my female healer Lessie. I finally settled on white as her fur color. It's a bit stereo typical given she's a healer but I leaves me more room to play with her clothing selections.
Her aspine staff has a candle to light the her work in the dark tunnels where she gathers roots. Her weapons of choice are the very poison's she distills to make healing warps.
Though she is not an offensive fighter like other members of the guard, she will not shy away from defending her self and her allies against the snakes and owls of the South Western borders.

There are two versions of the RPG, both are on amazon if your local game store doesn't carry them.
Fun game to build a campaign off of.

I've read the fall volume, and the one with the 3 short stories and really liked it. I didn't know there was an RPG for it. That's cool. Good work with the style. Looks like you could have done something for it on the short story one. A few years back I started on my own stories involving minks & muskrats and started animating it last year (my icon is the main character). I started on it though, before I even knew about Mouse Guard, and found some similarities between it and what I was doing. Bizarre. If you want to see chapter 1, it's in my gallery. Later!

My MGRPG character is from Ivy Dale too! But she has more tan-ish fur... Her clock is yellow... THIS IS BEAUTIFULLY DRAWN!!!

oh she's white! I was kinda picturing her a ...mousey-brown-grey but she looks really pretty as a lil white mousie and I really like all those greens !!! especially on the banner!

I thought about her fur being more grey blue but considering where she lives and the places she goes it made more sense for her to be albino as she spends a lot of time around the Aspine tree line. Thanks i'm glad you like the greens

I was going to go with her lavender and the oatmeal colors but she wears those more when she's at the Hold rather than in the field so went with her battle gear. I should draw her again some time fighting the rattle snake.

I know what you mean about the style. I've tried several times to draw my mousie who is a girl too but dk. brown. I haven't been able to settle on a cloak color either but your's is beautiful! I love the flag too!

I'm sooooo excited to see that other people like that series! Don't give up on the style. I had do work at it for a while. I was making the ears Huuuuge an then I'm use to shading things differently and not with cross hatches. If you'd ever like to get together and draw or just hang out let me know. Always fun to meet new people and share techniques.

Okay I'll work at it today too! I just like the style, I actually love crosshatching but haven't used it in my artwork in a very long time.
I would like to get together some time. My problem is work, I am a postal carrier and now that it'll be getting darker and colder, I'll be working more hours. But I always have Sunday off! I don't know if I have very many techniques to share with you though. I don't draw much to be honest. sorry.

-chuckles- I work for Fedex. I understand more than you know. I'm also trying to find a house to buy and working on my masters >.< so time for me is weird as well. I have sundays off as well. Let me look at my schedule and see if that is a day we could just get a smoothie and hang out. There is an artist jam I think coming up with some other folks in colorado who are from dev art. We have all different kinds of skill sets. It's more in inspire each other. Sometimes someone will see something you don't and besides,even if you don't draw that much, what you do draw is just adorable -has looked at your DA- I'll keep you posted ^_^

I was going to work for Fedex or UPS if the Post Office lets me go in October. They do a one year contract at a time, let me go then rehire me, if they want me. Kind of strange. Oh well.
Yes plz do keep me posted, I'll try to keep my schedule free. Not very hard for me to do except October 9 and 10 so far.
