The name of this piece was actually taken from the newest Korn song, which I played on loop as I colored and shaded this. If you'd like, you can listen to the song here![link]
Okay, so! Probably one of my most detail oriented pieces EVER, I'm really happy with how it came out. Though this drawing wasn't inspired by the song, I found the chorus rather fitting for some reason or another.

I feel the same way with my scanner... I just tend to lose the vibrance of the original by scanning, and taking pictures (not that I do that often, but still). All the same, it turned out pretty epic. 8D

What type of medium did you use?

The easier question to answer is what medium DIDN'T I use. XD
The initial shape and drawing was outlined with a 2H pencil, then outlined again with my india ink pens. From there I added the color with my markers, adding the shadows with a ballpoint pen and the highlight with a colored pencil. After that, the background was rendered with pastels, which I proceeded to get smudged all over my face and the couch.

I...dang, Derf, I'm completely floored here. Like...wow. I don't even know where to start, I'm just so blown away with this. It really shows that you put a lot of effort into this. I'm particularly fond of their expressions...there's a good deal of weight in 1's expression.
Poor guy. Much as Dopple drives him insane, he did need her around in his own weird 1ish way. I suppose having her as a voice in his head helps...sorta.

Yeah, I think Dopple's voice in his head is more a tease and an annoyance than anything, but who knows? It might provide a bit of comfort. XD

It's definitely a tease. I mean, he has no lovely feathers to covet! 1 liked having feather coveting privileges.
:C G'aww, 1's expression in this picture just breaks my heart. He just looks. So. SAD. This was the kind of expression I wanted in the pic of Dopple's death, that sort of "upset but holding it in" sort of look.
By the way, I took a listen to the song and the lyrics go "Holding on to petty things", not "many things". Small correction thar.

Yeah, I just realized that. I had actually just copied and pasted the lyrics, so I figured I had misheard. But I guess not, nyehehehe!
Well, I was imagining that this was after Dopple had the knife lodged in her processor during that battle, so yeah, 1 would be kind of upset his lovey took a knife for him. The expression came out way different than I had imagined, I wanted more of a contented look, but it came out as one heavy with concern, which I think is more emotionally stirring. ^^
