The Delta Flyer from Star Trek Voyager

Star Trek Voyager had many flaws, but I love it all the same. The biggest being the fact that after spending 7 years lost in deep space, the ship still looked brand new. Of course, this was a result of budget and stock shots of the ship being used multiple times. I would love for someone to do a remaster and replace the ship shots with new ones of the USS Voyager slowly getting scared and changed as the series goes on. Leave some of the Borg bits on it, add a few dents and patches here and there. Anyway…

While the Delta Flyer was not required in any way for the series storylines, I like the fact that it broke away from convention and tried to do something a little different. Maybe it tried to answer the question, "What would your ship look like if you built it yourself?" Of course in modern TV screen writers and producers can do what they like, not always leading to good results, but that's a discussion for another time.
