This is an amazing peice. I really like that it is off center, especially as it is a symmetrical-ish image. I don't know whether it was intentional, but I really like it. The bird itself is wonderful- I really like that it is half-formed but has so much pep. Hee, I said pep. The Energy or whatever around it is really cool, it looks like heat, or when you have a really hot .. thing. The hair on the figure- which btw I at first thought was painted on top of a photograph, or just mainipulated to look like paint bc it is so accurate- anyway, the hair has such depth and layers, and I like how it complements the subtler wings. It's really a lovely peice, and I'd love to see a bigger version. Hugs- Ashley

What a creative idea, your sister is very beautiful and the lighting creates the perfect mood for this. The only thing that bothers me a little is the left shoulder is a little bigger than the right. But how can I be picky about such a wonderful painting?! *siiigh* back to my drawing bord.....

Very beautiful painting. What I see that oculd use some work is the sparkles, they dont look that great at the moment and kinda subtracts from your image. I suggest putting more time in making really neat sparkles, and not something so simple as a dab of the paint brush. Vary sizes and illuminance, and that would probably help that out.
The other major flaw i see is the centering. Its really thrown off by how its off center to the left. I seriously suggest you crop the right side off, making the image more centered. Right now as it is (offset) it really throws off the viewers eyes, and it feels unnatural considering everything else is centered. By cropping it, it would definately take advantage of the composition youve already created.
Um, other things to think of would be to do a neat lighting effect by the bird, and have it give off another light source that reacts to the girl and the surroundings. Something to think of to give the whole image more power.
Last thing to do of course, is to put a nice border/frame around your image.
Great work, it just needs some little bits here and there to make it spectacular.
