Description Ok, ever since my laptop died and I needed to get a new hard drive, I've been redownloading programs and files, and I think I'm finally as caught up as I'll ever be. I've also been cycling through desktops every couple of weeks or so, but I think this one will last for a while. For those who don't know, this is the Dark Adonis a.k.a. Vyers a.k.a. Mid-Boss from Disgaea: Hour of Dawning. He's the source of the pose I'm doing in my ID.

Anyways, since it seems everyone else is doing it, I'm going to take the time to explain what all those icons are for. *cracks knuckles and begins typing*

Ok, ignore everything from My Documents to Recycle Bin. You know what those are for.

Internet Explorer: Only use when a website doesn't work properly in Firefox

Adobe Reader: No fucking clue. O_o Any ideas, people?

Firefox: Main internet browser. I LOVE EXTENSIONS.

Textpad: A program that you can use for typing up other programs. I used to use it for Java, but for some reason it started crapping out, so I got BlueJ instead (next column, about halfway down)

Winamp: Kinda like Windows Media Player, only a whole crapload better. If you still use WMP, I pity you

Bitlord: A torrent downloading program. Good for downloading large batches all at once, although it's speed is dependant on how many people are hosting the files...

Burn CDs: Sonic's RecordNow! Plus CD making program. Don't know why the name changed O.o Hardly use it now

Daemon Tools: What this basically does is tricks your computer into thinking that there's more CD/DVD drives than there really are, and it can open CD Image files like .ISO without burning them onto a CD. Good for when you download games or programs that need to be put on a CD or DVD first and you don't feel like wasting one

Stepmania/Stepmania 3.95 CVS/SMOnline: Stepmania is the computer version of DDR. NO I AM NOT A GEEK KPLZTHNX. The Stepmania CVS is basically the same as the Stepmania file, but it came bundled with the SMO one. SMO is the unofficial official online version of Stepmania where you can play against other people to see who gets the better score. It's unofficial because the makers of SM didn't make SMO, and you won't find it on their website. It's official because, well, the makers of SMO say it is.

Ad-Aware SE Personal: Free ad-ware/spy-ware checking program, very good when coupled with other programs like AVG or Spybot - Search and Destroy

Skip Word, and then you have HP Director and Photo and Imaging. I've never used these two directly, but I'm pretty sure they're for when I scan something.

MSN Messenger: For talking to my buds who don't have/use AIM for various reasons. Now that I think of it, all the people on my buddy list are girls, even if I only have four people on it... O_o; Well, if you wanna know my SM, note me please.

AVG Free: Another free protection program, only this one does virus instead of ad-ware and stuff. I used it to replace Sophos, which SUCKS. NEVER EVER get Sophos, it's not worth it, even if it's free

Limewire: Similar to Kazaa, it let's you download what other people have on their comp. Unlike the free Kazaa, it doesn't bombard your comp with ads when you try to go on the internet. Check it out

FlashGet: Not sure what this is for, other than it downloads programs for you. Not sure why you would need this since you can just right-click -> save as, but some website I went to recommended it for it's downloads, and I was planning on downloading a whole bunch of stuff from there. Apparently, if your download messes up, though, this one will keep trying to reconnect until it can start downloading again, so you don't have to start over.

X-Change 2: Some weird game where this guy apparently turns into a girl in a lab explosion at his school. O_o Haven't done much with it yet

Xfire: A messaging program that tells you what games your friends are playing. For instance, it tells me when my contacts are playing SMO, or many other games. Very cool interface too, definitely worth checking out. [link]

Warcraft III and Frozen Throne: A cool game similar in gameplay to Age of Empires, and the expansion for it. Can't play it now, though, since it was my friend's disks... -_-; Trying to find a patch so I don't need the disk, but nothing works so far

As you can see, I also have AIM, which should explain itself. Again, as with MSNm, if you want my name, note me for it.

Ahahaha Mid-Boss XD I really need to pick up that game again...

OH! Now I remember that pose. I thought it seemed familiar, lol. XD

Stepmania.. I used to have that, I recall I deleted it since I didn't play it much @_@ But if there's an SMO online, I think I'm slightly interested now!

Lol, yes, I didn't just conjure that pose and quote out of the blue! I'm not that creative/conceited! XD

Yeah, Stepmania is a lot more fun with other people! You need to download a BUNCH of songs, though. I have over 1400 (yes, 1400, not a typo) songs, and I still find myself lacking at times. X_X If you still wanna join, the program is at [link] and you can find song packages to download here: [link] Some necessary downloads you need are the ITG file and the two KBMP (or CKBMP, I don't think it matters which), and if it's there, the DDR 1-8 pack(s). you can also get the anime and videogame packs, as those are some awesome songs. I'm MagicMaster8 on it (you need to register on the smo website, and your name can't be more than 12 characters, I think).

Thanks, isn't it? I just wished I could have gotten it without the calendar... >_<

It is indeed! It's only useful if you have image files (.cue, .iso, .pdi, etc.) already on the comp, it doesn't make them itself (I think...), but if you can make them, it's great for your computer games so you don't need to have the disk in anymore!
