Description

I did a list of jerks who deserve worse, so here's some characters I think deserve better. Please be respectful of my opinions.

1. Carrie White (Carrie) Believe me, I have been in her shoes during middle school! (I was bullied a lot, and I got very little help) Carrie deserves to have a life better than the one she has in the movie - she is constantly bullied at school, and abused by her religious mother, Margaret. But then comes a random act of kindness when she is asked to go to the prom by Tommy Ross. Just as Carrie and Tommy are made queen and king of the prom, however, a vicious prank causes Carrie to unleash her telekinesis on everyone before she goes home in disgrace. But then her mother stabs her, and Carrie uses the last of her powers to kill her mother and destroy their house before she dies. I wish I could take Carrie under my wing and report Margaret, Chris, and all the other bullies to the authorities, because this poor girl deserves way better!

2. Quasimodo (The Hunchback of Notre Dame) I watched this movie a lot when I was 7 or 8, and even now I think Quasi is an underrated Disney hero! I do not think he is ugly at all (I think he's adorable), and he's very kind and gentle. ^^ Thank heavens he gets a happy ending in this movie, where he saves Esmeralda and her friends, earning the respect of all the townspeople and being declared a hero!

3. Horror (The Pagemaster) Like Quasimodo, Horror has a rather unruly appearance, but don't judge a book by its cover! He is really very gentle and cute, and another underrated gem! This movie needs more love, and Horror is truly a great character who deserves better.

4. Casper The Friendly Ghost Unlike other ghosts, as his title suggests, Casper is very good-natured and always wants a friend close by. Too bad many of the animals and people he meets are scared away by his appearance! But luckily, in most of his episodes, Casper manages to find a friend or two, especially when he defends them from bullies or danger. He deserves to have friends, because all the other ghosts diss him, and Casper is just a perky little phantom who wouldn't hurt a fly!

5. Blanky (The Brave Little Toaster) This adorable electric blanket is the youngest of the five main appliances in the movie, and so he gets pushed around or ignored quite a bit. Blanky really needs more love (this is another underrated kids' movie), because he feels human and overwhelms me with cuteness. ^^

6. Pearl Krabs (SpongeBob SquarePants) Even though she can be a crybaby at times, I sometimes pity Pearl whenever her cheapskate father, Mr. Krabs, puts her down or humiliates her (which happens quite a bit). She really deserves a better father than that cruddy crab - I will say that!

7. Meg Griffin (Family Guy) Doesn't she get enough hate from her own family already? I mean, Peter and Lois constantly bully her, and Chris, Stewie, and Brian usually pay little attention to her well-being, too. I wish I could take Meg under my wing, too, and I would also be a good friend to her. (I'm also a little chubby, and I was bullied in school quite a bit like I said at #1)

8. Thumbelina A lot of people hate this movie, but to me, it will always be a favorite of mine. I do not think the titular character is annoying or bratty in any way; you'd be feel upset if you were taken away from your home, too, wouldn't you? But Thumbelina really needs more love, because her story is cute (except for the "Marry the Mole" song), and it's one of Don Bluth's best works in my opinion.

9. Olga and Helga Pataki (Hey Arnold!) I know Helga bullies Arnold a lot, but that's because she has a crush on him, and she's too afraid to admit it. Helga and her older sister, Olga, both deserve more respect from fans, because they have a dysfunctional pair of parents, and so they feel insecure about themselves. I know that feeling - believe me.

10. Princess Merida (Brave) She's one of my top favorite Disney Princesses, along with Tiana and Belle! When this movie came out, I was 17-18 years old, and I sympathized with her, because I also experienced some issues with my father (like Merida has with her mother). I do NOT think Merida is a spoiled brat, and this movie deserves more respect!
