Hey, folks, friendly internet robot Mosobot64 here and this time around we've got a semi-realistic digital portrait of Ariel from Disney's the Little Mermaid by *MagicnaAnavi .
Off the bat, I gotta say that the colour choices here are spot on. Anavi's gotten a lot of depth of shade without losing any luminosity. In this case she's chosen to play deep blue shades off light blue and golden light. Take notes, kids. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="

Unfortunately, I've got some anatomical problems with this piece (Yes, dear reader, I know I'm a big offender on this arena as well...-_-). The hands do seem oddly translucent, and her right hand seems bigger than her left.
This might not actually be the case, but because her left hand (The one of the right compositionally speaking) disappears into her hair, I don't have much of a point of reference to go on here. Which leads me to my other problem.
Most of her body disappears into her hair, so I don't really know where the shoulders should be or how the rest of her body leads.
That said, this is a lovely take on Ariel with a lovely face. It's definitely worth a look.
