I've been wanting to do this for a long time! These are some people and types of things that constantly inspire me!
(in no particular order)
1. Gigidigi
Gigidigi is the artist of one of my favourite comics, cucumber quest I especially love her use of colors and form- she is truley inspirational.

2. *Sulfate-free
Melissa is more than just an amazing artist. Her unique style and ideas are amazing. Not to mention she inspires me everyday in all of our conversations.

3. *TamberElla
Tamberella has an amazing realistic style. Their color choice and detailing is gorgeous.

4. ~BlackSeaFoam
WOW just I cannot get over all the ideas she has. I love her watercolors especially.

5. and 7. Nature is one of my biggest inspirations of all time. I get soo inspired looking through photography blogs.

This is defiantly one of my absolute favorite types of painting. The colors and composition are just so perfect I can't get over it.

8. *starsweep
Torrie is one of my biggest inspirations on deviantart. She is such an amazing artist overall. I love her unique style and her paintings are just gorgeous. I love her art to pieces.

9. =rhisan
Holly has one of the best styles on the planet. It is soo perfect and just pleasing to look at. Her designing skills are also absolutely perfect.

10. Kali Ciesemier
JUST THE COLORS. I am soo obsessed with colors you guys don't even know. I love the way every palette is perfect. The way her art looks is just gorgeous.

11. and 12. City and travel is another thing that really inspires me! Everywhere I go I see new things that inspire me to draw.

WOWOWOW This is such a cool map! Thank you for linking all of those wonderful artists; I started reading Cucumber Quest, drooled over Kali Ciesemier and Maike Plenze's artwork (especially Kali Ciesemier. WOW.), and refollowed some wonderful artists on dA who I had accidentally removed from my watchlist when I did a huge haul-out of it! 8'D Now I'm going to go do a map myself and we'll see how it goes! i see many of your influences are freelance illustrators! i'd love to do that, but i've been trying to lean towards animation or concept art or something more stable as a career
what are your thoughts on this?

Personally I'm not really thinking of going into art as my main job.
Art is really hard to succeed in and many people tend to need secondary jobs.
I will probably just stick with freelancing as a hobby. Or even as a side job.
If I did to into art it would probably be either an illustrater or animater.
Conceptual art is extremely hard. So I doubt I'll go into that if I stick with art.
But really I think that we shouldn't worry yet. Try out different things!!
(Also I think we should do that animating challenge we were making together earlier this year!!)

You have tons of things to do!! Once you get into high school you'll figure out more interests and everything. You don't have to decide yet!!
