Hope freedom comes, but who's gonna get in power, that's the worrying question. Great photo

There are lots of good wise men in Egypt, I have no worries about this, our regime just try to convince us and the world with the opposite to stay in power

Its sad that people as a whole can't get along until something bad happens.. then like magic we pull together as one and accomplish great things. Imagine what we could do if we were like that all the time.. A well oiled machine one could say.

As full and alive as this image is, you can still see everyone clearly. A true capture of humanity. And the black and white makes it even more intense and real.

This is a great photojournalistic image, and I love how the Egyptian flag stands out among the whole image, which seems to remind us why these people are gathered like this in the first place: For their country, and the future of their country.

I now am very curious about how many Egyptian students are attending my community college, and how this is making them feel. I am surprised that the school has not yet held a campus-wide meeting/conference where students can be educated about what is going on in Egypt right now, and also be a place for Egyptian students to talk to each other about this and give their opinions on how they feel. I think that would be a great event idea, personally. I may be American, but everyone deserves their chance to speak and talk things out when big changes happen.

When me and a friend went downtown on Saturday, we saw a group of people hanging out in a public square holding Egyptian flags, but not doing much more than that (though I could not tell how long they had been there before we came there). Kind of strange seeing them standing near the people who've been protesting the Israel thing for months.

Something having to do with the occupation of Israel or Palestine that the US has been involved with. I'm not sure of the details.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MahmoudYakut In reply to Moyayuki [2011-02-06 20:08:55 +0000 UTC]

well, the US supports Israel and supports our regime and many others in the region, we all know its for political reasons... anyway, i don't see problem with being near those who support Israel, we made our revolution calling for democracy and human rights, which means we must accept others who have different opinions. still, we don't like the policies of the US or Israel, not the people themselves, me myself i have lots of american and Israeli friends.

I just thought it was interesting to see two things going on downtown that had to do with that general area of the world, that's all.
