Description 28.01.2011, Anger day, Alexandria, Egypt: my city Alexandria burning and smoke covering its skies that were once blue... a price for freedom....

A group of young Egyptians watching the buildings set on fire beside the statue of Alexander the great foundeder of Alexandria 331 BC.

Please support the Egyptian people in anyway in their battle for freedom, you can just send an email to your governments or representatives asking them to not support the Egyptian regime headed by Mubarak, thank you....

Update: Egypt is free, Mubarak is gone.... please support us rebuilding our country

This one is so ... strange ! There are several persons on this photo, but nobody looks at the objective. And they don't either look all in the same direction. So it gives a "ghostly" and unreal impression to this situation. As if the photographer, and the photographed persons, were not in the same world, in the same dimension. Really Mahmoud, it's a very strange feeling, and so a very beautiful photo !

yes Pascale, its exactly like this, it was so weird and intense time, suddenly everything have changed, the city they lived in is on fire, the police who frighten them was defeated in 4 hours and they escaped, people everywhere, no one have an idea what is happening or what is going to happen....
