Hey,
Such a powerful message! Your shot really should be seen everywhere: to bring hope to all those who have lost faith in humanity, to show fundamentalists of every religion that there's another way, and to tell the world that Egypt is eager to embrace every aspect of its future.
Great photograph!
CU & greetings, Miou Q.

Thank you very much Miou.... I hope the day comes when we all realize and see the humanity that we all share and be sure that there is a place for everyone on this earth... I've always believed in this very much and I hope the spirit of this revolution guides us to make it happen allover Egypt not just in Tahrir square
I was one of those who lost hope in humanity, but this revolution brought life back to me, it made me see that there is still goodness in this world and it can still make a difference, reality can be changed, no matter how hopeless it might look, there is always a chance, we just need to have faith and stick together.... you take care and don't loose your faith

Hey,
Thank you very much for your long reply! I'm honoured.
I cannot really imagine what it must have been like to live under such a regime or how it feels to have taken part in such an uprising. I can hardly recall the days when the German Democratic Republic crumbled because of the peaceful protest of the Monday Prayers in Leipzig, neither Unification Day. I was nine years old and - living deep in the west of West Germany - did not have any relation to Germany's division. But back then I somehow felt that it was a great victory that the two parts united peacefully and that it was a reason to celebrate.
So, if my feelings from these events resemble just a bit of your joy and confidence today, I know how lucky you must be! And I hope so very much that this feeling and the optimism of your revolution stays and that the transformation process will be successful.
Good luck and all the best
Miou

You are right Miou, the unification of Germany its very similar event to what we have here regarding its magnitude and effects, these two events are one of those unique moments in history when we see so many people united and their will winning in the end.... I had these echoes from the events in Germany that day when Mubarak stepped down, I was even playing Scorpions's song "wind of change" again and again! .... I really felt its the wind of change for the middle east, and like you said I am so lucky to live it...
Thanks again for your care!

You're so very welcome!
... Ah ... "Wind of Change" ... one of my very first single-CDs. I love that song so much and yes: It's a song that will forever be linked to Perestroika and Glasnost as well as the unification of Germany. Do you know the German song "Freiheit" (liberty) from Marius MΓΌller-Westernhagen? It's another song that was played in these days.
Greetings, Miou
