Basically what I did was start out with Goten. The overall shape of this hair is Goten's Base form and his SSJ form combined.

See my journal for more on this. Then you just make everything a little longer and wispier. I tried to give the hair the texture of SSJ Trunks. Some choppiness and the way the hairline is defined. Plus the bangs. The face is based on GT style art. I prefer the proportions and some more masculine features. Color wise, I figured a desaturated and darkened purple on top. For the body fur, you have to figure the spectrum is basically on the red scale. Vegeta's is like a burgundy and Goku's is more like fuchsia. If you don't want to duplicate one of those, my choices here are to go with one of those or to go for an extreme. On one end of red you have violet, on the other you have orange. I went with orange on my Vegetto/Vegerot design so I went with a maroon/violet here.

I tried a lot of different thinks for the eyes. Pink just seemed GT-ish. You don't want blue or yellow because that's Goku Vegeta and Gogeta. Red or Orange don't stand out against the skin and hair color. Purple doesn't really look good with purple hair. Green is an option but I think pink was the right call. I'm thinking ssj4 trunks will get the green eyes and goten will have pink as well.
