Zomg.. this took me for friggen ever.
I've been trying to keep track of how much time I put into this. I kinda lost track but that was after 26 hours.
and I was only halfway done with this.
So yes anyway, this started out as a simple sketch on regular paper.
I wanted to add color but of course at the time I didn't have colored pencils or paint brushes at the time. So I worked on it digitally. I've never tried a coloring job this extensive before. I mean I've done color "touchup" I've taken pieces that were already colored and basically blended and shaded to make the colors seem more bold.
With this the original was black and white so I basically bolded the lines and did 100% of the coloring digitally.
IT WAS A PAIN IN THE ASS!... but I like the way it turned out.
