It was on this exact day ten years ago when The Amazing World of Gumball made its Cartoon Network debut! No doubt in anyone’s mind at all that I would draw a commemorative piece for this exact moment! Hard to believe that what I initially had several doubts for before its release would later become my most favorite show of all time, right? I myself got around to seeing The Pressure and The Painting on June 9, 2011, and I found myself surprised at how much I found myself really enjoying it! And the more and more episodes I would watch, the more and more I found myself gaining inspiration from it to want to do fan art of it (something I had only ever thought about doing before with video games like Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokémon, and Kirby), and eventually create my own cartoon characters in hopes of one day becoming an animator! (I do happen to have some animations on my iPad, actually, like the Whose Line-based Astolfo animation test I talked about last August with my Astolfo drawing; maybe one day, I’ll have to show those somewhere) It’s the show that made teenage me finally find the perfect career path to take, and for that alone, it’s tenth anniversary is something that I just HAVE to be here for along with Sonic’s 30th anniversary coming next month! I’ll have a Gumball art compilation later this week showcasing some of my most favorite Gumball drawings that I’ve made so far. This is my first Gumball drawing to be made and released after I started coming out as MTF transgender last Wednesday (my second overall after my last Sonic and Tiny Toon Adventures crossover from last Friday, as well as my very first for Cartoon Network), as well as my first ever drawing to be made at my dad’s current house, which I’m in the middle of moving to with my mom and brother (I’ve made many drawings of game consoles when I was 11 & 12 using YouTube console videos as references for drawing them for the first time at his previous house, but never at his current one before, which is why I mention this).
