Description
The first WIP of the Dark Road Keyblade.
I will probably make a Ver 2.0 when clearer official screenshots get released.
So for now this Keyblade design will be used by one of my own original Characters.
Slightly disapointed that Kingdom Hearts: Dark Road is an offshoot of Union X rather than a completely original game on its own. I'll be honest that i'm probably not going to play the game since the game is functionally connected to Union X (i.e. the medals from KHUx can earn you cards on KHDR).
The new mechanic on KHDR are Cards which are heavily reminiscent of the cards from the original PC game KHX albeit redesigned to look like medals. So think medals...but in card form (Quite the original idea Mister Nomura).

The game is supposed to be, more or less, about Xehanort's FALL from grace.
Not exactly a great pun, I know, but we're running out of phrases containing the word 'star.'

Yeah. Honestly I was really hoping they would go 3D for Dark Road. Even something like Final Fantasy Opera Omnia would have been great. But nah....they just had to be lazy and recycle assets from KHUx.
Instead of announcing KHUXDR to be a new game (I'm gonna call it KHUXDR or KHUx-DR from now on) Nomura should have introduced it as an add on for KHUx.
I think many of us are hyped for the story. More so than for the gameplay mechanics.

But to be fair tho. Some people have said that KH Chain of Memories and KH ReCoded were all recycled from the KH1 assets with minor changes. They used the same assets to tell a different story.

Nekminit Nomura implements microtransactions for KHUxDR. Video game design is a business, they'll find some way to profit. Even if they do it shamelessly like they did in KHUx.

Yep. Gameplay is fundamentally the same but slightly different. Luckily the medals don't need to be transferred over at least. I do wish it was a separate game though. Union x alone takes up almost 5 gb of space

Pretty much! XD and give a damn offline mode so you don't have to be connected to the internet 24/7! The base game doesn't take a whole lot but when you factor in all the "updates" the game installs on itself, it's rough on the storage space!
