thank you
my mom makes things for animals, and had left over red, dark red, yellow, green, white, purple and a few other colors of fabric, that she never used of leftovers
so, i took them of course! i have almost enough red to make her fire nation dress, and i have enough yellow and red to make the scarve things, which ive already cut out
um, where would i get the seal stuff? that sounds much more handy then just sewing it on, although it seems ill have to sew on after it :3
ah well
if u even read this comment...
ive just gotten bored, and thought it would be a fun project. besides, i missed otakon this year, and hope to go next year!
im still working on my RWBY Scythe, gosh it takes forever out of cardboard, and ive never made costumes/cosplays before, maybe ill post pics
lol, so i hope im doing well, the scythe is made out of cardboard, but ive made it like 4 layyers thick, plus some other tings to keep it together, and wrapped it in duct tape
DUCT Β TAPE IS MY FRIEND!!! >-<
all ive ver really made iss swords, out of cardboard. lol, i like cardboard, and sewing!

no problem!
you can get heat n bond at joanns. you should still applique the edges though as the fabric can still fray and/or come off.

Hey, what exactly is the suiting fabric you have used? I just want to make sure I'm looking for the right stuff

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

makeshiftwings30 In reply to MilesElectric [2012-12-31 22:48:45 +0000 UTC]

I don't know the exact name of it, but it's from Joanns in the suiting section and I think they carry it all year

MilesElectric In reply to makeshiftwings30 [2012-12-31 23:54:11 +0000 UTC]

Thank you, I'll have to look for it I'm trying to make her Earth bending bracelets from this design, taking the wrist piece to be green instead of leather. I've found everything I need for it, except for the suiting material haha

Oh OK, in that case for her green outfit I used a linen which I believe they also have in stock all year. It's a great green too and a nice fabric although it wrinkles easy. But it's easy to work with

MilesElectric In reply to makeshiftwings30 [2013-01-01 00:58:40 +0000 UTC]

Sorry for spamming you with questions. Do you know exactly what that green linen was called? I can't seem to find it (or I'm just being me, as usual haha)

makeshiftwings30 In reply to MilesElectric [2013-01-01 20:47:29 +0000 UTC]

i don't and i don't see it online, sorry

MilesElectric In reply to makeshiftwings30 [2013-01-01 21:27:52 +0000 UTC]

I think I found something I can use. It's a light green cotton/linen blend (I'm starting to think this would've been easier if I had gone for red lmao)

Thanks a bunch for your help XD If I can pull this off I'll cite your tutorial!
