Outstanding! Thanks for mentioning the board. Will give it a try. I was looking for something smoother than what I've been using.Β

That is insane, i can't even get my head around having enough skill, patience and determination to even consider doing a drawing of that level of detail...Respect.

Awesome as always man. Did you try and draw each and every individual leaf/blade of grass exactly as it was shown in your reference photo?

Thanks Trent! Yes, I followed the reference photo exactly. Whether my rendering looks the same is another matter.

Amazing!
I noticed in your facebook page you mask off the edges, I always see folks doing this, but when I try do it the tape just rips the paper up with it!

Thanks! The type of paper I use is Strathmore 500 series bristol board - the smooth/plate finish. This paper is more like card and as long as you use a non-permanent & less adhesive tape then it is fairly easy to carefully peel the tape off and leave the surface intact.

Perfect work! From the first look I didn't recognyzed, that it's a pencil, not a photo. *_*

Hi Malcolm, I have spent the last few days looking at this and the WIP's on your facebook page - looking for errors, mistakes, flaws, bits that you skimmed over, Β and you know what? Β I couldn't find anything - simply put this is perfection in a pencil drawing - I am astonished and amazed, I thought I knew how to draw - but I have no idea how you do this without going completely mental - the level of detail and concentration simply blows my mind. Β Fantastic work - congratulations
(By the way I have some very big news coming up that I know you will be interested in - keep one eye on your mail box as I will be sending you something shortly )Β
