Description
God-Sledge is part of a series of weapons that combine a large melee weapon with a ranged weapon! God-Sledge belongs to the leader of these weapon wielders in a sort of post-apocalyptic world. The weapon fires missiles from an enormous revolver chamber which also serves as a hammer. on the other side of the open barrels is a massive weight that serves as a blunt weapon, as well as providing balance for the weapon as a whole.
The missiles can be fired separately or at the same time, and can also be kept within the chamber and stored for an explosive melee strike capable of taking down buildings. A melee strike igniting all missiles can be even more devastating.
Made in auto-cad 2004. i know i haven't posted in foreevvvverrrr, but HERE YOU GO! i plan to keep up on the art a bit more these days, starting with this (which I've been wanting to model for probably over a year)

If you fought someone with this thing I think running away in an erratic pattern would be your best bet.

The rule of awesome weaponry clearly dictates that when you have a weapon like this, it must look cool, have special functions [or just one hell of a punch], and make you seem great just by being near it or holding it.
This not only follows the rule but is pictured next to it in my big book of rules/definitions and listed as one of the badass-est weapons evah!

I like it but I think the blade at the end of the handle is unnecessary. Also - the handle looks too short with it.

I love the concept, the only thing I think I would've done differently is to either make that blade on the handle retractable or take it off, as it seems like the motions needed to swing a sledge would leave a high chance of slicing yourself up with it.

Nice Design. But it makes me wonder how that delicate articulated gold would hold up during the massive devistation of devistating massiveness.
P.S. And just in case: Have you played monster hunter?

I would love to see you give it some life, make it look like it comes from the post apocalyptic world, like its been used and like its not made of plastic. It's truly worthy of the attention, i haven't seen anything like it before. The part that in my opinion really looks out of place is the white cylinder, take a little reference from a 357 mag's cylinder and match that color and feel. Then maybe you grime up the spot where the rocket fires from.
On the other hand is does have a bit of a stylized feel to it so maybe you wanted it to come out the way it has.
My favorite part is the lattice work, it looks to be very well done and looks are all that count in our field.

very well said heh, and thank you!
unfortunately autocad aint that great when it comes to texture. in fact its lacking entirely. i can only set the phyical properties of the materials. transparency, reflection, refraction, roguhness etc.
honestly im just waiting to move on to 3ds max

That thing is FREAKING HUGE! Why aren't you in game development?
Also, where the hell is the trigger? And what's with that golden web thing that looks like it could be just peeled off?
I'm a practicality person, mind you.

the trigger appears to be near the bottom of the revolver as part of the gold design, as a guess the "golden web thing" is just there as detail like the engravings of specially made revolvers of the old western period...

well ty very much!
and i hardly feel a hammer that fires missiles is for the practical lol.
the trigger is small (in order to further display the size of the hammer by comparison) and is gold, just above the brass knuckles at the top of the handle.
the golden web just looks cool ^_^
you cant have a missile hammer that doesnt look cool... cmon

Actually, it does serve a good dual-weapon purpose... in an unorthodox way. The blade at the bottom is a nice touch; I can drive that into the ground so that the recoil from the missile fire doesn't affect you that much. Well, at least I think so.
I'd equip the Hulk with this thing, because it looks too heavy on one side to be used by a human-sized creature.
Yeah, I see it. I think you should make it so that it stands out more.
I agree with the rule of cool, but there are better ways of going about it (and you'll know what I mean if you've played any post-VII Final Fantasy game). How about making the webbings some sort of mechanism to reduce recoil? Or, instead of the webbing, paint the flat sides of each chamber with gold decals and put in fire generators that make golden fire? Everything's more awesome with fire. Actually, that could ignite the rockets, and... well, I think I've made my point.
