Description
This is how to reload Hinge, i decided to make this after some people asked how it reloads. original gun here ( [link] ).step #1- push button to unlock slides built above the magazine. then pull back on the handle which will slide back the interlocking slides holding the magazines cartridge to the handle.
step#2- After pulling it back to its maximum the magazine will pop out and fall from the gun.
step#3- Insert new magazine, push forward on the handle to snap everything back into place, and kill stuff.
made in autocad 2002.
btw this version is orange, where-as the original is cyan

Oh, it's awful. I understand the science fiction and stuff, but no sane person would take in the fight thing which is recharged.
Comrades - before or embody, think about how convenient is to use Your gadget. Any flight of fantasy is welcome, even in the most unbelievable thing believe more if she is not arguing with elementary logic. I like really like the idea, but it impractical, in fact conflict with the logic of, sad.
Ask about the basics of the design of the weapons - for testing such things need to be not only an artist and be able to do beautiful, but still a bit of an engineer.
Sorry for, perhaps, sharpness, just really sorry when interesting ideas drowning in these things.

F*ckin translator... sorry... try litle better...
Idea - good,interest.
Construction - bad recharching = impractical.
Material - glanz = bad = impractical.
Other - good.
Advice - please get Your works more practical; barrel-clip-handle=better then barrel=handle=clip because recharching better=more practical; for disign sci-fi thinds - better litle bit thinkin like engineer.
P.S.: it's just My think, I DONT think "make that", I underestand - You may just ignore this word.
I hope better now. Almost without translator...

oh heh, i get what your saying.
i made this image becuase many people complained that they had no clue how this gun could reload ammunition.
so i made this simple explanation. its not exactly how it would work, more like a rough example.
and ive had to explain many times before, that i am an artist. not an engineer. (i have an extensive architectural backround, architects are by no means engineers though)
i design weapons that are pleasing to the eye and imagination. which started becuase i find the real world boring. thousands of artists designing guns that already exist. i see no point to it.
so i create things that don't exist, but are fun to think about and fantasize about.
but thank you for your interest

Ok, can I offer the option of recharging?[link]
1=bullet
2=used shell(or sleeve I dont know how wright for English in Russian "ΠΏΠ°ΡΡΠΎΠ½")
3=cartridge with rounds or little one plasma battery(for B)
Π a-empty cell for rounds
b-round teleports
c-round teleported and ready to shooting
clip have device for teleportation rounds in
B clip have slot for cartridges/batteries, if cartridge/battery is empty clip rotates and get in next; if used cartridges - clip worked like 3d printer for print rounds
I don't need bleuprint, just how You can used things what You draw, how it worked? Underestending of this will reveal to You new borders and expand thinking. As a result Your works will become more interesting and beautiful. I see Your anoter works and You are really great artist I think. With unique imagination. I don't mean a full understanding of how engineer.
In totaly, you can ignore my words if they don't like. The meaning of the above - expand Your horizon and You will become better. View popular scientific programs about the technique do no harm of anyone.
I hope written legibly.

it works just like a revolver [link]
only the clip comes out and you put a new one in. pretty simple. no teleportation or anything.
but i never liked hinge to be honest. which is why i made [link]
same idea, only the clip is taken off from the top instead of the bottom. and each bullet is fired by an electric piston.

The reload reminds me of a pump action shotgun for soe reason. I guess it is the extension/contraction motion that unlocks/locks the clip into place. Nice work.

While it is Hinge's trademark, the cylindrical magazine is also a big problem. Since the cumbersome fastening cylinder is also part of the gun's receiver assembly, you'd have to field strip the gun just to holster it. Also, storing it in a gun rack would be a bitch, and this lack of portability would make it totally useless, since pistols are only there as last-ditch weapons, or they're there to give you time to get to a better weapon, like, say, a rifle. Hence the term "sidearm". Unless the accuracy, bore, and ballistics of the rounds are up to par with larger weapons, this is just another cool-looking but impractical pistol design.
Now, this'd be cool in a videogame, though.

well of course
pretty much my entire gallery is impractical or overpowered lol.
theirs physicist, and artists. i won't even pretend that i know how to make these things works, but id sure as hell hope i can make something that looks badass. for now ill just be an artist ^_^

mr8bit In reply to malmida [2009-02-20 00:57:27 +0000 UTC]
Oh, wait nevermind. I see, the handle comes back. Still, there should be some guides for the mag so it can slap it in without having to try and align it.
π: 0 β©: 0
mr8bit In reply to malmida [2009-02-20 00:54:55 +0000 UTC]
Well, you would have to let go of the gun to remove the magazine b/c the mag in encircling the wrist.
π: 0 β©: 1
Leirmont In reply to mr8bit [2010-03-26 11:29:49 +0000 UTC]
No you wouldn't, the handle slides far enough back to where the mag can fall free. The circular locking mechanism moves back with the handle. It'd still be odd to reload, but a little practice and it'd be fine.

TehBystander [2009-01-12 19:05:53 +0000 UTC]
Dude you gotta submit that to Mag Labs or some research facility. That thing will work.
I modeled something like that on a prototype with my friend, and it does work well.
Nice one!

Mikhail-Faulken In reply to TehBystander [2009-03-04 09:18:00 +0000 UTC]
The Desert Eagle models are all pieces of shit, since the calibers are ridiculously high for a sidearm. This is especially true for the Mark XIX, everyone's favorite. Instead, I'd reduce the caliber.

The trigger should be on the back half so you don't have to worry about opening your finger while you reload.
Before I saw this, I was thinking it would be a pain to reload, since you'd have to pull your wrist in and out of the ring. This was an ingenius solution.

jacobbell06 [2007-10-01 07:19:36 +0000 UTC]
wouldn't the gun have to be held with the barrel with the other hand since the clip is completely round or is there a gap in the clip than can avoid the wristor is it a soft clip that can be whipped around the wrist... just wondering i guess i get to deep to pictures and designs sometimes
π: 0 β©: 1
malmida In reply to jacobbell06 [2007-10-01 16:39:36 +0000 UTC]
yeah, you do have to have your other hand on the barrel, but you can keep your first hand on the handle. in fact you need to, cus you have to pull that part of the gun away from the barrel.

Only "problem" I can see with it's reload process is if you gotta load on-the-run. Since the clip is around your arm when your holding it, you'd have to draw it back to replace the clip.
As for the ejection process, could always claim it as caseless ammunition.

malmida In reply to Omikias [2007-07-17 04:14:31 +0000 UTC]
nope, u can keep you hand on the handle, all you do is pull the handle backwards

so it was just a task of moving things backwards lol.

The ejecting is easily fixed by using caseless ammo or reological ammo. And it would increase the clipsize too. ^^
