So what happens when the city is overrun with giant mutants, and the military is too busy to do anything about it? Why not hire a private contractor, or in this case a creature with a lifetime experience of dealing with pest control... and all for the small price of whatever he decides.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here's another drawing I started on impulse as well as try and reignite the fire to push my limits further because I feel like I'm getting too settled in and things are looking too boring. Basically it's another update of one main kaiju, Roko, as well as trying to think of more generic monster species for my characters to fight.
Roko Raccoon Artifex: Basically this was to try and update his design a bit more. I'm still stuck on what to do for his backstory. I do seem to be leaning towards a spear type weapon for his basic weapon/tool, and I keep meaning to add his pistol like weapon which is a heavily modified artillery cannon, but for some reason I didn't do it this time because the pose just didn't feel right or something. I'm definitely gonna revise his design some more though.

The roach like creatures: Really it was to try to add a bit more variety so I'm not drawing the same animals in every picture. I'd definitely like to use these as another weaker, but more abundant species though. I still haven't thought a good name or additional abilities for them yet. The smaller ones are the young while some of the older/larger/bipedal ones will stay to defend their nest. They can fly, but their speed and agility is still pretty limited.
Constructive feedback on how to improve the designs would be highly appreciated!

Nice concept. The bigger insectoid beastie has a distinctive and remarkable design, and Roko's armor is remarkably detailed and well-crafted. Well-done!

I think I like where the armor and weapon setup is going with him too, although I'm still trying to figure out the stance stuff. Like it feels like a more digitigrade stance may be more beastly/kaijuy, where a full plantigrade stance may make look too human.... but sort of by accident and from looking raccoon pictures it may have to be kind of a hybrid of digitigrade and plantigrade. The bugs, I'm still trying to figure out what to add, or even call them. Many thank you's for the feedback bud!
Oh, and I haven't forgotten about the "War of the Queens Pic" for ya either, I'm just sketching out other stuff to help spark ideas.

Thank you very much! I did notice that too, like it's either giant robots or ancient warriors that have human like external weapons and armor. Heck, I see some monsters that have artificial stuff mounted on them, but then it's never really explained why the the stuff is there beyond, "that's how they were made."

*Kikaiju mean Machine/Metal Strange/Great Beast in Japanese. So, something like MechaGodzilla or Dragon Casear are KiKaiju

That's a pretty good thought! I know I've seen a couple giant robot types where they'd have a basic stick for their main weapon but then the energy emitting from the stick can form into different weapons like swords and bows and arrows and such.
This is the first time I've heard that term kikaiju. I like it though. Rolls off the tongue better than cyborg or giant robot.
