My favorite part is how the spray from the lip of the wave blends with the clouds... Great effect.

I stared at this for quite some time trying to think of something to say, but it isn't really about what I'm thinking so much as what I'm feeling...
To be truly inspired (by anything - for any reason) is nothing short of your heart catching on fire. Leaves me feeling overwhelmed.

You've got the chance to shot really sick waves...
The short focal gives the impression that the wave (or the peak itself) is like 100 meters wide.
Perhaps one day I'll make a trip to oahu and try to surf this wave, but only if it's 2 to 3 of your hawaian feet high, i'm a poor lonesome chicken
Anyway, you're making great pictures that brings me sun in my far from ocean Parisian life.

When you talked about big swell does that mean that it was breaking on the third reef at pipeline?

Not quite third reef, but trust me...second reef sets are plenty big enough.
