This was my favorite adventure cover so far! I love your style and I'm really impressed and jealous of the city stuff... I'm too impatient to draw buildings that detailed! Awesomeness.

I think your backgrounds are usually very strong and have a lot of imagination. Is there a certain way you like to go about them? Use a transparent grid? Draw every line the old fashioned way? I'd like to hear some of your tips since I really struggle with putting imagination into my backgrounds.

i usually freehand a grid from a vanishing point. i use rulers for long lines but i prefer freehanding to keep it fresh. that way i'm just noodling at it like any other object i'm drawing.

Okay, I'll be honest. I'm not exactly a fan of Sensor Girl's new look, but Element Lad looks cool, and you have a real penchant for drawing the Legionnaires. It's too bad you couldn't stick around.
