Here a preview of my upcoming work on Adventure Comics #1 out Aug 12, 2009. A colored preview can be found on the DCU blog [link]inks with pentel brush pen and microns. washes done with windsor newton ivory black water color. the first panels color tone was done in photoshop.

How do you know where to put the shadowing on a charecter, i can draw ok, its just where to put the shadows on their skin. Brilliant drawing though!

i don't want to ask such a personal question, but are you colored blind? i've been kind of wondering about that for awhile

heh no worries. it's very common in the comic book industry for the artist to just do the black and whites and for someone else to do the colors. I've colored some of my work only for fun it's just very time consuming to do all of it.

hm i know what you mean about time consuming about coloring some of the works. but i just didn't know that artist color it in Black and white first and someone else colors it in for them. but thank you for the explanation.

no problem. actually what I do isn't very common. most comics are done in 4 process. writer, penciler, inker, and colorist. I ink my own work but i've chosen to do gray tones on it to give it a more old school feel. it's not a common practice but there's some that do it. most comics is done in just black and white line work no tones.

but your old school feel is just awesome! which makes you very different from other comic book artist out there! And i think that's how people are drawn in by your art work
