Description
Horray! I'm starting classes at Sheridan College tomorrow, so I shall consider this my kick off for the new upcoming year of art learning and preparation for the year after that! .o/ (Okay that was a little long-winded, lol)This picture was mainly a jumble of a bunch of experiments thrown into one. Originally I was just doing this to practice faces as well as realism, but then it exploded into this. It turns out I really suck at patterns (hard to do by hand) and my mind went right from Geisha style clothing to Chinese-style patterns/fabric, hence the accidental combination of both. But that's alright, I love both Geisha and Chinese style fashion and all in-between, so it was an interesting mash-up. I need to get better at metal again, and I'm still trying to get a feel for a colouring style that fits me best. I was trying to avoid lineart, but I still wound up putting it in, but it seemed to help it a lot, so I'm glad I did. This was also my first time trying out textures, so that was kinda fun, though I hope it didn't do anything bad for the pic.
Anywho, as you can tell, this crazy assassin lady has weapons hidden in every possible way (from the top of her head to her toes, even though you can't see that from this angle). The fan was fun to draw out, but I'm not super happy with the way I did the dragon~ oh well. The blood splatter was also done by hand, which was a little difficult at first. I also left it as daylight because I didn't plan ahead of time the way I wanted to do the lighting, and some murders to take place during the day when you least expect it. Assassin powers activate! .o/
I think I also messed up with the size of her hand and I forgot a small edit that needs a bit of colouring, but it's late now and I think I'll just ignore it anyways.
In any case though, I am still happy with this pic, even if it took ages to do! I'll hopefully speed up and be more efficient with the help of school coming up to sharpen my skills and all that jazz.
Anywho, before I forget, here is the proper credit to those who provided the lovely textures!

*Is touched* ;u; /hugs forever
I'm trying to get better at this sorta things. It's really difficult to get a style down pat, as well as doing stuff like patterns and whatnot. This was also my first attempt at trying to work with textures, and I'm still getting the hang of faces I'm not very good at them, but I'm hoping that will get better in time^^
