Awesome skin, absolutely love it!
What do I need to change to keep it visible as the song ends and the next one begins,
instead of appearing as the song ends, disappears, and reappears after the next song begins.

You'll need a Bar meter to do that -Β docs.rainmeter.net/manual-beta…

[progressBar]

meter=bar

measure=measureprogress

This is really cool for WMP but how do you get this to work with VLC player? Sorry if I'm missing something obvious.

Hey manci5, I've tried looking at the code, and since I haven't learnt much about measures, I can't say much, but I still can't make out how you got the MeasureRemain to work with the variables. I've tried re-constructing it in another blank skin, but to no luck, and I was wondering if you could lend any pointers?

manci5 In reply to Ekojain [2013-04-26 20:04:12 +0000 UTC]

MeasureRemain is a calc measure. In calc measure you use formula=measure1+measure2 (notice typing measures without square brackets or hatches). I used MeasureDuration and MeasurePosition.

Oh I finally got it now! haha silly me, I was using a progress measure instead of a position measure. Thanks! It all works smoothly now.

This is amazing, and exactly what I wanted, thank you!

Very nice.
The only thing I'd like to customize is the area you have to touch to bring it up. (I already tweaked the duration of the popups)

Actually I've put it in the bottom right corner.
W=1
H=1
x= (#screenareawidth#-1)
y= (#screenareaheight#-1)
Any way to use W and H as variables?

malouito In reply to malouito [2012-10-20 21:42:59 +0000 UTC]

On the corner really, not slightly shifted on the left.

I'm using:
W=3
x#screenareawidth#-3)

1. Move your mouse to that area, right click and choose Edit skin.
2. Find this:

[cornerpixel]
meter=image
solidcolor=127,127,127,1
W=80
H=1
x#screenareawidth#-80-120)
y=0

Then just edit W, H, x and y values. I'm curious, where do you want it to be?

If you want to make it work with spotify, I believe the easiest way is to make it support the nowplaying plugin!

manci5 In reply to Svenningen [2012-10-16 05:30:59 +0000 UTC]

It is already using nowplaying plugin. What do you mean?

Hello. I fresh installed this new version. Now the songs are displayed correctly so far. But I still get the font wrong (I reinstalled the font, changed the font to Bebas Neue with no luck again). Here is the screen of the log and how it looks like: [link] . The skin is looking better than ever btw! and the setup rules! just hope I can get this whole font thing fixed. Thank you.

manci5 In reply to MotherNChildDivided [2012-10-14 09:54:27 +0000 UTC]

Try this: exit rainmeter and copy BebasNeue.otf and paste it into Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\PopupNotifications\Popup (in the same folder where Popup.ini is located).
Then edit Popup.ini and in [rainmeter] section below update add this line:

update=100
LocalFont="#CURRENTPATH#BebasNeue.otf"

Just make sure the font file is named "BebasNeue.otf". So, this way you're not installing the font but telling Rainmeter to load it directly from skin folder.

Ok I got it HAHA! It was exactly what it said in the article. For reference, all you have to do is the following:

1. Fresh install the skin
2. In the skin folder, create the following folders: @Resources\Fonts. In my case, the windows path goes like this: D:\Documents\Rainmeter\Skins\PopupNotifications\@Resources\Fonts\
3. In this folder download and paste the .ttf version of the font provided by manci5 here [link]
4. Edit Settings.inc and in the font part put "font=Bebas Neue".

I've been researching the rainmeter manual. In the font article, it clearly states that you cannot use .otf fonts in rainmeter. I think that is the issue. Check it out [link]

Everything done like you said, still no change. I wonder if I'm the only one having these issues... My popup.ini [rainmeter] part looks like this:

[rainmeter]
middlemouseupaction=!refresh
mouseoveraction=!execute [!DisableMeasure popupAppear PopupNotifications ][!showmetergroup controls][!redraw]
mouseleaveaction=!execute [!Refresh PopupNotifications ][!hidemetergroup controls][!redraw]
update=100
LocalFont="#CURRENTPATH#BebasNeue.otf"
