Description
"Did I get the part?"Yes, yes she did.
Meet the new and improved Fayne. Same attitude, new look.
I'll be casting for the other characters in the weeks to come. In the mean time, there are a few more test renders of this new Fayne coming soon.

Great character, she has a feel of "real woman" to her Many Poser dollies look perhaps "too beautiful" or "too perfect", not that one minds too much, but sometimes it's fun to see more "plausible" women

Thanks. yes, DA (and other sites) are filled to the brim with look-alikes from the Poser vats. After my hard drive crashed taking all of my Poser runtimes with it, I got to looking at the various artists I like, and I realized that my faves could be broken into two distinct categories, the High Fantasy (Epic supermodels done with stunning realism - a category you fall into to) and low fantasy (Realistic real world figures with all their faults- but not normally rendered too well.) As I can't achieve that hyper realism that seems to come easy to you, I decided to venture into a third arena, where real world models are in the best realistic scenes I can achieve. So as I reconstruct my main characters, I'm taking time to base them on real people, and not what I see on TV or magazine photos. But having said that, I still want to make them sexy.

I have seen so many sexy, cute and gorgeous women who do not conform to the classic notions of beauty one sees in the media
"Flaws" or variations from the norm can give them a beautifully unique, personal and charming look.
Realism is tough and I'm never fully happy with the result. Realism is restrictive too. It usually only works when strictly limiting yourself to certain resources or very specific camera positioning. For example a partial body render, chest to hips is easy. The problems come when you make it full body with hair and place her in a scene.
I prefer semi-realism, "cg looking" or artsy work because it's easier to get a pleasing end result (for the artist, not necessarily the viewer)

Your right about the CG looking part, but you have more than a few that I have to do a double take to make sure I'm not looking at a real person, and it's usually some minor detail that spoils the illusion for me, but the point is that I have to look for that minor flaw. Your models are superbly done, and I consider them very realistic if not photo realistic.
I try and try, but its painfully evident that mine look CG. Eventually I'll figure the lighting out and get at least one 'perfect' render. As it is, I seem to stuck in the brown hues, like an old master's apprentice or something, while you seem to favor white or very light scenes, which lends itself better to photorealism I think.

Oh, Fayne is even prettier than I remember!
Before she was just cute, now she is the epitome of strikingly gorgeous!!
Is it disturbing that I am now officially jealous of Hal'ciem?
