Description
Sorry for the spam but there were spelling mistakes (really dumb ones that bothered me to no end...) that needed to be fixed....so why the re-upload? Because DA was being buggy and wouldn't let me edit the upload as it thought the submission was a text file instead of an normal file -_- and it wouldn't change no matter how much i refreshed D8 So i had to delete the old one and resubmit the tutorial.....---------------------------------------------------------------------------
1st part: Armature building-> [link]
Next part: Sculpting part 2/2: [link]
First part of my playing with clay and make it into something awesome tutXD
Hope to have the next part up soon (gotta work on some more commissions so bare with me )
Curious about wip's of my newest projects? Then visit my public FaceBook page [link] which i will update with photos/sketches regularly.

I love your sculptures, they have so much detail even this early in the process. I suck at sculpting, but I'm going to try and use your techniques to help. Your tutorial is very specific, and easy to understand. ^^

Oh that sucks that you had to reupload it, though DA has done that to me before when I wanted to update an image I feel bad for pointing out the spelling mistakes too >.<
What I will happily repeat is that I am massively grateful that you've taken the time to make this tutorial and to share it with us It's very kind of you and I feel makes you an even better artist; that you're willing to take the time and share your 'secrets' with us
Thank you for that!

Thank you so much for putting the time and effort into creating and sharing this tutorial. The way you have explained building up the facial structure was extremely helpful. The sculpture looks fantastic so far, I can't wait to see it completed.

I've been thinking of trying to do a sculpture for some time now but I have no experience on the subject so tutorials like this makes excellent reading for me.
I do have some SculpeyIII so I guess that could be a good start for me to try playing with.
You big kitten looks great! I'm excited for part two!

ah you have to start somewhere and sculpey III is a good clay to get started with (tho i never used it as i read that it is even more sticky the super sculpey when getting warm and once baked it's very brittle) so if you ever have a chance try get your hands on super sculpey as it is just as easy to use as sculpey III but less brittle

Maybe I should just use SculpeyIII for smaller projects to start out with. It would be annoying if I spent lots of time on a sculpture and then have it break because I'm not using the right type of clay. A wise idea for me is to learn how to walk before I run. I can get always get some super sculpey later on when I feel ready for a larger project

from every 1st couple of pieces you make you will make mistakes and sometimes have to learn stuff the hard way ( i know all about thoseXD) but don't let that stop you as you keep practicing you'll become better and just keep looking up information about sculpting (read tutorials etc)
but i think you've made a good decision with your current plan so i hope you'll have a lot of fun sculpting
