Alright, this is a collection of a few of them many kinds of eye types in anime manga artwork. My hope is that by looking at these and reading the descriptions below, you might be more familiar with the symbolism in anime and manga eyes, and that this will strengthen your ability to design a variety of characters. if you have any questions at all, feel free to ask me.Related content

Ah! Thank you so much for all of these tutorials! I love the variety of these eyes. I have been drawing for about 17 years and hands are STILL my biggest obstacle. I'm majoring in Illustration and Graphic Design and hopefully going to grad school and doing some things in animation so I can work in... animation lol, so I need to master all of this the best I can!

hishou akuma - Soaring Demon
watatsumi shinju - Sea Pearl
sono tomoshibi - The Light
amatsu yabun - Heavenly Night

Wow, no comments and this has been almost in for a year??? Well, it's time for me to, well add. XD Thanks for the tip-like instructions and characterizations of the eye. I was thinking about getting more manga practice by drafting some characters but I couldn't get the right eye type (didn't look right...) Thanks lots dude. ^_^
