there's a lot of things that really bring this piece together. The movement of the clouds and the pink swirl works really well with the angle of the characters. Their poses and expressions really give off an emotional connection.

Not Victorian. It's Regency Era, which is actually BEFORE the Victorian era. Lovely picture though.

Their outfits are styled as in the Regency period! (which is the equivalent of the napoleonic era in europe)
