Well, I don't know about prices in the UK, but the one I use is a Sigma 105 mm. Then there's the Canon 100 mm and Tamron 90 mm. There are also shorter and longer macro lenses, depending on what your preferences are, what subjects you intend to work with most etc. I suggest you do a google search for those lenses, there are lots of reviews in photography forums and also some side-by-side comparisons.

I've only worked with the Sigma 105 so far, so my experience is pretty limited. I've had the lens for almost 3 years now I think and i'm quite satisfied with it. Autofocus is sometimes very slow, but for macro I use manual most of the time anyway. It's my fav lens - on the camera most of the time. Also nice for zoo photography and portraits, if you have enough room.

Hey again mate.

I am a bit worried about buying this lense as, when i ask if it comes with a canon mount they just answer "i dont know".

I am now considering buying Canon EF 100mm 100 f/2.8 F2.8 Macro USM Lens.

Will this lense definatly fit my Canon Eos 350D? its not a Rebel model.

Schafft man mit einer kompakten, noch dazu, wenn man womöglich die Blende nicht manuell einstellen kann, leider kaum.

Mir hat das saftige, schön verschwommene Grün rundherum ganz gut gefallen und wollte dem Käfer auch Raum geben, damit er nicht so "eingekastelt" ist.

I experimented with this one - usually I try to get a depth of field as large as possible so that all relevant detail is sharp (more science than art ) but this time I made an exception.
