The only rule I put for myself is that I could only use Zelda once.The old man, Impa, the princess, and Ganon are the only real characters I could choose from in Zelda one.
Princess Zelda on a quest to save Princess Zelda. Huh. Anyways, I think I prefer the earlier Zelda design. Breath of the Wild was okay, but she seems a bit too forced.
I mean, who else but Link's Uncle? He literally started the quest. Also, that's basically what the Master Sword looked like to me. I know the silver one is on the poster, but it's pixelated like this.
I could've chosen Medli, Aryll, or Tetra. But honestly, this guy just looks the coolest as the hero. Banter with his brother would be really funny.
I'll do more eventually, but I want people to be able to see the thumbnail.

Honestly, I find the three main characters of this franchise to all be pointless. They're role-fillers. Always has been, always will be. Zelda is just more obvious because she's not the hero of the villain.

Link isn't even the exact same person across the games. There's like 11 of them. You could probably play as Kafei the whole time in Majora's Mask and the game would probably improve.

Then again if you played as kafei in every game you’d be saying the the legend of Zelda without kafei and we may want to play as link.

I'm not offended. The Zelda series hasn't exactly help the highest position in my mind since Breath of the Wild because the other games became almost intolerable since I've been granted a better alternative.
No matter the game, the story and characters of this series is an excuse for Link to do this or Link to do that. The only reason there is Time Travel in Ocarina is because Miyamoto couldn't decide between a young or old protagonist.

We are practically the opposite when it comes to zelda, I like bread of the wild for the exploration (and link) but honestly I hate the story, and it just doesn’t seem like a REAL Zelda game. Weapons breaking and no items like the grappling hook or the skull hammer, it just defies all laws of Zelda.
Also the first few words in the bread of the wild description on google is “forget everything you know about the legend of Zelda series”

Okay, Ive been forced to play all the Zelda games in order to understand game design, but Ive had to come to terms with my real opinion after being the biggest fan of this series. This is what I think of REAL Zelda.
After reaching a village of some sort, you have to solve their problem or prove your worth before entering the dungeon. The dungeon has a few basic puzzles before recieving an item that will be used to finish the remaining puzzles. The boss of this dungeon most likely requires use of the item in order to beat it. Obtain the objective of the dungeon, then rinse and repeat. Typically 8 times. For like 15 games. With no changes other than maybe your mode of transport. You might need to travel through time, turn into a furry, sail around on a raft for 7 hours, drive Thomas the Tank Engine, or do a light jog. And, no matter what the game, the tutorial is requires to last 57 years, the characters only exist to create the conditions of your quests, and Ganon doesnt do anything of substance until the final boss fight. Thats REAL Zelda. Not an adventure where you can explore a world, discover a culture, and be a hero because of your actions. You are on a quest to save a princess who has been shown to be way more powerful than Link, deal with a whole race's minor issues before they can let you SAVE THE WORLD, and your a hero because literal gods dont feel like just Thanos snapping the demon king, so they tell you to do it. Im sorry if you dont like Breath of the Wild, but I'm tired of playing a series that didnt bother to try anything really new since Majoras Mask.
