Description
This was the same road-trip as [link] further down the track in complete darkness, lit only by the moon.Lake Pukaki between Tekapo and Twizel.
This is 4 1min 30s exposures merged together.
I love the detail you can see in the shallow water to the snowy mountains and their reflection!
Let me know what you think!

maybe you should try to make it more lightful.. it's too dark.. very dramatic on a wall but still too dark in my opinion

I did contemplate this, but I didnt want to make it look like day time... I still want to keep some kind of night feeling.
Thanks you for your comment tho!

Well you could try working a little bit in photoshop to darken the sky keeping the rest intact, focusing on the star trails!

What do you mean by focusing on the star trails? Wouldnt I just increase the exposure?

in another collage (shooting other photos) yes and no.
You need a longer exposure to make the trail longer and less skylight to make the sky darker and the trail more luminous and clear.

no, it's as you said in the other comment.. a 15~30min exposure with adeguate f-stop on a darker night (darker of the other one).. in this one you see the sky is very clear behind the mountains and the stars aren't very visible because of that in that zone.

Oh I see... so maybe a 20min exposure with a bigger f stop number then? Would that do it?

yes! exactly.
and if you don't have enough f-stops to make it you can buy a ND filter

I like it. Good job indeed, the reflection is great. But I quite agree with kilit, a bit too dark for my eyes.

And by the, way it's too dark. It's perfect the way it is imo. Those deep blue hues are very settling.
