Thanks so much for posting this. It helped me a lot.
Even if it is just a one, two, three type of thing it really helped because it just helped me get the basic features down so I was comfortable with them.
I think what I drew actually looks good this time. xD
Thanks so much for the tutorial!

it might not be a full tutorial, crilley, but it still helps. people who say it doesn't help are wrong. some of us need all the help we can get.

I think watching the video verses looking at this, both are very helpful. I didn't realize I was drawing the eyes and mouth wrong. I still need practice with drawing hair, but I'll just keep trying. Thanks though for drawing such wonderful creations, it's really inspiring. I hope to pick up Brody's Ghost soon and I am excited to read it.
God Bless

It's pretty good for it's name. "Manga girl" So yes, this tutorial has fulfilled it's objective, but what it lacks is detail in each step. I can follow it easy enough but it doesn't allow for much creative room for those who don't know how to draw. It'd be nice if you could give slight instructions for how to draw certain lines, or maybe teach using the skeleton method. sorry if this is unwanted critique.

Not a good tutorial? I think it's good. Actually, I learned how to draw by looking at tutorials but mostly from practicing and teaching myself. You're doing a fine job, really.

She's so beautiful!
Yes, yes, I do agree that this isn't an "actual" tutorial, but more like a "how to draw a certina girl in a certain pose" lol. That's just the vide I get. Tutorials are more vague in my opinion. This shows a more narrowed vision of how to draw something. But nonetheless, it's perfect! This could go into your upcoming Manga Tutorial Book! XD

Some of you guys should see that this is not the tutorial. If you want the tutorial go the the link in the artists comments. That one will definitely help you.
That said, really great job on this one mark. I always loved how you start your pictures off with something other than the shape of the head. Like sometimes you start with the hair and this time with the eyes. They always come out great regardless of how you start! Kudos!

I gotta agree with a lot of people who are saying that this isn't a 'tutorial'; technically, no, I don't think it is one. You don't really explain how anything is done, merely the order in which you perform the steps.
THAT SAID! I don't necessarily think that's a bad thing. Sometimes just seeing someone's process is educational. I don't work in this style, so I wouldn't find it particularly useful, but I'm sure a lot of people could. c: It might be less misleading to describe this as a 'process' piece, and not as a true tutorial.

i found this so unhelpful it was unreal. first off, you didn't actually explain HOW to draw anything. you just drew and then put a caption explaining what you did. For future reference you may actually want to break down this tutorial into as many steps as necessary with this as the culmination. for instance, a tutorial on eyes then mouths and noses then hair then general anatomy.
all in all a diabolical tutorial but a brilliant stage by stage "how i draw" piece.

I find it really difficult to lay out the head and body around a face as you did, but I must say the finished result is very pretty.

D: do you have any tips on mouths. In drawing mouths is the number one ultimate hardest things for me to draw right xD. Eyes are number two but after a few attempts I get the eyes right but wow the mouths are so simple yet I fail at them so epically. I tried drawing my own mouths before and I tried drawing mouths in other drawings. so far I have successfully drawn 6 mouths. I have drawn successfully 1 small mouth xD. The small ones like in this example are the hardest for me.

Interesting way of drawing...I haven't started with the eyes since early early highschool. In college we were always taught it's best to sketch out the full form to get the proportions and balance right^^ I'm not saying you're wrong, it's just really interesting to see someone draw differently is all!
You have a nice way of handling your lines, they have a lovely softness to them
