so i know a bunch of you have been waiting to see this coloured. well, here it is
i was able to get the Norse colouring god Espen to colour this picture. i enjoy the way it turned out.
i told Espen that he has what a call "juicy colours". i wish to learn how to color like this. maybe one day.
anyways, this is my take on the new look for the transformers that idw had created for their new ongoing comic.
the original designs were done by Don Figueroa, i just changed the faces on them. i still like the designs Don came up with, i just didn't want to draw the movie style face. been drawing movie style bots way too long now.
oh, i gotta say i really like hotrods new look. he's really freakin sweet.

yes i have. most of the covers in my gallery are all for comics i've worked on. there are a few that i just did the cover for, but most i did the book as well.

I just knew it! Now I have to shuffle through my sadly small collection of TF comics and see if I have any that has your illustration on the cover! : D I'm really thrilled how one can find professional artist too on DA these days. I wish there'd be easier way to get newer Transformers comics here in Finland, too, instead of always having to rely on ordering/buying them abroad.

no, those are the colours. wheeljacks colours are white with green and red in areas.

As you call it "Juicy Colors" I think it easily explainable. His chosen colors are very well picked, the warm colors (that is to say the two robots which stand out the most due to the red and yellows on them) are what really make this "juicy" in coloration. It is the color choices and how he used their shades/lights which really make them appear this juicy. Dull down JUST those two robots in any image program and the image will suddenly seem less strong and "juicy." That is the secret, markerguru, it's those warm colors that he picked out.
