Description
here is the design i came up with for Megatron for MTMTE season 2the design i came up with was to make a Megatron that would have the autobot emblem on his chest, but would have a features that need to happen that i can't speak about right now, but will come up in the future.
one of the biggest things was he wouldn't have the fusion cannon anymore (well, for a while ) so i had to widen the shoulders so make up for the lack of the weapon.
i know that James wanted him to have a more G1 look to the design, but i still wanted to keep some of what Andrew came up with for RID.
i don't have the time to go into everything right now. sorry, work call me

Love your renditions of Megatron. Have been a big fan of Transformers since the mid 80's, but wasn't able to keep up with the Franchise or directions it took, due to years spent raising a family. Then Bayverse happened, and my interest was rekindled, altho I was heavily disappointed with the movies. Still, I clung to my hopes that ONE day, someone will get it right.
I hope to catch up with the comics, one of these days, or catch a better TF movie, before my other foot slips into the grave. Lol! I wish y'all would just make a few movies based off the storyline in you've got going. (sigh)

So is Megatron an Autobot in MTMTE, or did he change factions? I haven't read these.

He changed factions at the end of Dark Cybertron and became an autobot which is talked about in issues 28-30 of MTMTE

You've just described every Bayformers movie ever made, especially the sequels. There's no way that you argue that this is any dumber than Bayformers, as that is just stupid.

Okay, I am not going to argue with you on your opinion on this as that would be pointless and solves nothing. I already have trouble accepting other people's opinions as it is, so I am willing to act like a mature adult and let's agree to disagree. I know that you will hate to hear this, but I do like MTMTE and Autobot Megatron but I will not go any further than that. One thing that I would like to know is that when about did MTMTE start?
At least we can agree on the Bayformers movies being more dumb. I did used to like the Bayformers (I have the watched the first three) but I have lost interest in them in more recent years. Too human focus was always one of the worst aspects of those movies. Yes, your opinion does make sense, even if I don't agree with it. Btw, I always thought the Kiss Players and Energon were very dumb as well.

I know that it sounds ridiculous but I thought that you would "hate me" for it because I'm used to how horrible and inconsiderate some people on the internet can be. Yes, you did interpret my question correctly. I'm not sure if I quite worded that right. I have actually read The Death of Optimus Prime on-shot not long ago, so I already knew about that. I just didn't sure what year MtMTE and RID started.
That isn't saying very much, but obviously yes. When it comes to Bayformers I am quite ambivalent about them. I don't hate them as much as a lot of other TF fans do, but at the same time I think that they're very shallow and hardly worth bothering with. I was never a big fan of the designs.
Kiss Players is without a doubt the worst thing that the Japanese have ever done to the Transformers franchise. The fact that it doesn't have any fan translations proves how unpopular it is.

you do realize i have NOTHING to do with the writing and don't care either way.
If you feel so strongly about it, then I suggest sending your thought on to IDW or the writers because they are the ones who come up with the story.
As for Megatron killing a large portion of humanity, well that story was pretty dumb since it was a reboot of what was set up from the start of IDW and just basically pushed Megatron back into the cartoon villain status. he was much better before that.

Awesome, powerful looking design, but I'm hoping, maybe against all hope, to see the Decepticon logo back on him soon, and then everything will be right in the universe.
Anyway, always loved your Megatrons, you always give him the best looking faces, not too brutish, but not that extremely sexy either, just the right mix for a cool and cunning villan.

Why would he have the Con logo when he left them?
Megatron is now an Autobot the most he can do now is just turn neutral instead but it's unlikely he will become a con again.

Well... I can get back to you on that after I've read the comic, which I ordered a couple days ago. But for now, without knowing the details behind this switch, all I have to go on is my gut feeling that this is somehow wrong, and that there's "no way" this will last. Seeing him with the Bot logo made me not want to read it at first, but I heard too many good things about this series to ignore. I'll be happy to learn of his reasons, but I don't know... x)
I love the Cons, and I love Megs as their leader. And I know we can't be stuck in the same story all the time, but I guess a part of me wants to never let the 'old way' go. And deep down I am hoping it turns out it was a trick, and then I'll be happy to think "ha, knew it"!

While I do think that Megatron should always be the first leader of the Cons I love it when him and other Decepticons actully start to see how wrong they were.
If Megatron becomes a Con again I think he is just going to start a new faction of Decepticons but instead would not fight the Autobots but to help them bring peace.

Oh yea, I like the doubts and changes of plans, and I gotta admit I'm a big fan of the repetitive struggles... no matter how many times they have the same arguments about who should be leader and how to lead, it never bores me because the Cons are just so delightful. But I just don't like to see them just give up.
And since they've been at it for like.. what? 9mln years? "Finally" coming to senses just doesn't seem that believable to me. Unless their brains get zapped or something ;d
