so i saw this up over on the allspark [link]so i thought i'd post it up here.
this is the first page from the tales of the fallen issue 05 which i worked on. i did a cover, and all the interiors for this book.
i had a lot of fun working on it, and hopefully people will enjoy it.
that being said, my buddy josh perez worked on the colors, and i think he did an excellent job on them. this page was one of the hard ones, that i think he pulled off with style.
it's always nice when you have a good colorist working on your work. josh has never really let me down, and continues to do good work for me. even when i give him a page like this to work on >:]
i remember reading online that this book will be out next week, but then i read that there might be a delay due to the christmas holidays. so i'm not sure.
anyways, this is one of my favourite pages from the book. i did it from a different angle then in the movie, and i wish i had the movie available to me when i did draw this just so i could make sure all the details were correct. but this is good enough i think.
tales of the fallen issue 5 by idw will be out soon. hopefully it will provide you with an interesting read

RotF is the weakest in the series but this part was one of the best moments where Bee takes down Ravage and Rampage.

Actually, I really, really like it when you take a different angle from the movie scenes. I get to see details that I missed, and you're so closely attentive to the 10,000 moving parts that I suspect most of us can't tell the difference.

I hate to say it Alex, but your style goes so great with the movie asthetic it blows my mind. I wish they weren't using this Magno fellow's style it's a bit bland to me in comparison.

well Andy likes magno's work better then he likes mine, so he gives the work to him. there also friends so thats just how things are i guess.

Well..., keep those sharp crisp and extremely accurate lines coming.
most of us in the fandom know and fully support your work and will always be in your corner in terms of vouching for your work.
You and Don together have forever changed the way TF's are drawn.

The sheer awesomeness of this picture....
it's enough to make me cry.Y'know the movie adaptation didn't show Ravage get killed. I wish you and Josh had done all of the issues of revenge of the fallen and tales of the fallen.
(PS, kudos to Josh for coloring Rampage red instead of yellow like in the movie adaptation)

I think I was the one that broke the news to you that you were going to be doing interior art for some of the ToTF issues! Not to knock the guy who was drawing for issues 1-4, but I much prefer your style, and am glad that this series gets be be touched by your divine drawing hand.

Ah sweet bliss I missed your work. The perspective and emotion you put into these bots is simply amazing. I love the expression on Rampage's face, poor guy looks like he knows its coming.
