'Consider Phlebas' is a hypercool hard SF novel by the great, recently late
and much lamented author Iain M. Banks.
If you like SF - then you should most definitely check out his work.

The premature departure of Iain M. Banks was a crushing loss for science fiction, but his fabulous Ships with their quirky names and distinct personalities live on. Move over, Starship Enterprise, the Ships of the Culture are taking your place as the most illustrated space vessels in SF.

Glad you like 'em Jonathan; at some point I'll be attempting to portray scenes from the Culture via 'true' 3D software. Don't hold your breath though....
