For some reason this reminded my of the fictional tower and suspended highway in Cordwainer Smith's Alpha Ralpha Boulevard. This was the first 'Instrumentality of \msnkind' story I had read. All I remember is the tower, and the road, and the couple's quest to consult a machine rather like The Answerer in Robert Sheckley's story, only more informative.

Overwhelming landscape, excelent work Mark. I really like your use of large FOV. One could think it's an easy way to add drama to the scene, but if not used with good taste and sense of the scene framing, the effect is not achieved and can ruin the image... but you always do it well

Did actually do a version of this with a small flying craft just outside the 'cave' on the left Sed, but decided to move it to
[link] instead.
Seriously though, the wee craft is actually part of the fractal - thanks mate.

That's a fractal?? Looks like a scene from an epic film or something. That is amazing.

Dang! As soon as the picture opened up I got vertigo, feeling I was being sucked in or something. never had that happen with a picture before. Its awesome but its freaking my vision out.

Found it so scary when started to pay attention to details, you can imagine those structures being huge! And once you start to think in that scale, the parts at middle right + bottom middle seem soooooo far away..., glad this ain't a moving pic with a movie theater size screen d; awesome work I love it ^^

looks like the castle of churning wonder, but it makes me think of wat the inside of a inflated sponge would look like.

I'd imagine an inflated sponge wouldn't be quite so architectural somehow!
Thanks!
