Description
A nice time to upload as i'm working into his hair and shows how i go about it (still rough), Also i have adjusted his eye on the right .. only slightly but it was bugging me. A fair way to go but all the parts are in place, it's get easier from here. Now i have the scarf in place i can work back into the face and darken the shadows and finally put his mouth and chin in properly. Then i'll add the textures to the scarf and coat and continue to work into the background.3B,4B,5B,6B and 6B woodless graphite stick and a selection of hard and soft blending things from cotton wool to my own blending sticks.

This is looking great already, it's interesting to see how you work. You seem to work on the whole thing at once which is a very different approach from my own and so is intriguing to me.

Thank you, i feel more comfortable working on the whole rather that completing parts one at a time. I have done that on some drawings but i do enjoy doing it this way when i can. It's the way i was taught and it was hard wired into me so i do find it easier

That's interesting how you show your WIP, the step by step process.

Coming along great. I'm always fascinated how others progress through their stages of drawing.

Thanks ..Me too,To be honest i was hoping it would lead to a looser drawing but it didn't happen. I just decided to let it come naturally and see what happened and this is it I am enjoying it though and i'm trying hard to change it from the ref and make it my own which is challenging.
