graphite, size A2 (420 x 594mm). Yes i know it's been done to death but i needed a large detailed face to practice technique on and i had this in a file. I'm getting bored with small technical drawings on Bristol and fancy a fresh challenge so i got myself a decent easel and i'm going large. Used a 6cm grid for this one and i'm building up layers, so far only using a 4B, 5B and starting to build up tones with a 6B. Tissues and cotton wool and a variety of brushes used to blend under layering, torts and stumps will be used as the focus gets sharper in an attempt to add depth .. well that's the plan.
