Just how was the running time for each individual film? The American movie was long as hell (I think it last 4 or 5 hours), so I just assumed it was a result of each of the three movies having a 2 hour running time.

I grew up with it as a kid as well and loved it, but looking back on the film as an adult, it's just horrid. And Saban completely spat on the source material, so we have every reason to care about the Japanese versions. D:

well i respect the Japanese versions, ive been going back and watching all the Digimon seasons in Japanese. i just loved that movie as a kid, sure it doesnt make much sense now but i guess my nostalgia is thick on this one. just like how i cant watch his review of Pokemon the First Movie, it just hurts too much

Well, you shouldn't let it hurt you. You should be open to other people's opinions, even if you don't agree with them. Childhood memories are great but that's all they are. Everything eventually has to be criticized, good or bad.

Despite ALL my bitching against this piece of shit of a show, I won't watch.
It's just so bad, I don't wanna see any clip, any audio of music or voices or the character styles and design, not to mention the domestic violence that got the green light for what's okay to show to children.
I admit that SOME of the Digimon are actually pretty cool but they're not enough to save the show nor could they hold the weight because it's not about them, it's a characters who are designed so badly that would make Tetsuya Nomura laugh his ass off based on the ridiculousness not to mention they WHINE A LOT!
Don't even get me started on the fucking music...
