As for the movie, I think I'll give it a pass; besides Taarna, the movie wasn't very compelling. Just a bunch of adolescent doodles brought to life.

Yeah, and it was always timed perfectly to the long, boring ramblings of the Loc-Nar. In fact, I think that the Loc-Nar's tendency to prattle was what killed it.

So, anyways, when the Loc-Nar got to the story of Taarna, by the time he realized what he was doing, Taarna destroyed him in her time, and he died in all other points, including right there in the house. And then she became the next Defender, I still don't get that part.

That's the problem with existing at every point in time and space.
I think that girl was Taarna's reincarnation or something, that's why she became a Taarkarian. I wish that Heavy Metal 2000 actually focused on her, instead of doing some watered-down PG-13 thing.
