YourΒ NIKON D800 did a really great job with an exposure time of 30 seconds. I noticed you used Photoshop. Did you alter anything in the image?

Give me a camera that costs half as much and Ill do even better...If you eat a good meal is it because of the stove it was cooked on.?Β Why do think it was because of my D800?

No, how observable...why would you ask that because its an image you dont normally see...?Β In what way did you think I altered it if that made you think I did?

It's because amateurs and non photographers think that "photoshopping" = photomanipulation. Photoshop in most cases is just a digital darkroom. Photo manipulation is more equal to cutting pictures from a magazine and gluing them together.

Sorry, you put out a request for critique. I simply was asking, since you shared with everyone that you used Photoshop. I was wondering what you used it for.

A critique goes in the Critique area..Im tired of people being so vague...then ask what did I use it for instead of assuming it had to be altered

The sky and ground are two seperate exposures, so he put them together in PS. You can see the sky is much grainier and the camera data says the photo is f9.0 when the stars had to be show closer to f2.8. It's kinda cheating but kinda not, I have a star-trail photo in my gallery that i did the same thing with.

Either you got up at 2:00am for this shot or you stayed up...either way, the passion for photography is utterly evident! Great shot
